What is a Dealer Branded Email?
How do expect to increase your ROI if you send emails through AOL? For the most professional appearance possible, all business owners should always have an email that is branded to their business. Cal-Surety can help our car dealers migrate away from that free email service like GMAIL or Yahoo NOW! Don't wait until one of your prospective auto buyers mentions it because it will be embarrassing.
I Don't Want to Manage 2 Different Emails?
Cal-Surety makes things easy for our auto dealers by helping them consolidate their emails from all sources into a neat little funnel so they can just view 1 spot to view/respond. We understand dealers well after working with them for 20 years and all used car dealers value a simple solution!
How Would a Dealer Branded Email Help My Business?
There's immense value in developing a strong brand. Apple, Coca-Cola, Toyota, they all spend millions on branding every year. It's worth a few bucks to start building your car dealer brand NOW! If you don't care enough about your dealer business then why would someone buy a car from you? If you are a gardener or mechanic then fine. Getting a quote for some work in my backyard that comes from a personal email like johndoelandscaping@gmail.com is not a deal-breaker. But now if I am spending $4,000 (or more) for a car that I will drive my family in or buy for my kid, I want to know that I am buying this car from a reputable source. Of course, there's a CarFax on the vehicle and an NMVITS Report but that doesn't always tell the entire story of that car or truck. When someone buys a vehicle from you, they are buying all that vehicle's history and taking a huge leap of faith on you and the car!
What Other Services does Cal-Surety Offer?
As the name indicates, Cal-Surety is best known for our wholesale rates on Retail Car Dealer Bonds. We can also help you with your Used Car Dealer Insurance, Logo Creation, DMS, and Website Development.

Our #1 focus for 2018 is to offer as much value to Car Dealers as possible  Please let us earn your business TODAY!

Build Your Online Presence.

Five Reasons to Brand Your Email...

Which dental practice would you choose to contact given the following email addresses: [email protected] or [email protected]? It's probably safe to assume you'd pick the first one - in a recent Verisign survey, 65 percent of consumers believe a company-branded email is more credible than a business using a free email account1.

Although it may initially seem insignificant, there is a bigger takeaway here than just email. It’s really all about building credibility and branding; essentially, the impression your business is promoting to the outside world. And for small companies in today’s competitive market, branding is how one business will stand out from another.

If you’re still uncertain, here are five solid reasons why you should have a business-branded email address for your company:

1. Give The Right First Impression. A branded email shows the world your company is established and professional. A generic email may project inexperience – or even worse, raise doubts on whether you’re a real company at all. But when you use a branded email, your audience feels you’re here to stay and serious about your business.

2. Create A “Bigger” Image. A generic email address can convey that your business is new, or small, or part-time. Having a branded email creates a more “corporate image” and can help prevent awkward situations where potential clients may not want to compensate you as fairly. Additionally, setting up multiple email addresses for different segments of your business (e.g., [email protected] [email protected], [email protected], etc.), will support that established, professional image you need.

3. Build Credibility And Trust. Unfortunately, scam artists do exist, so many consumers won’t be comfortable emailing personal information to [email protected] But when you have a branded email address, you’re providing a sense of security and reassurance to your customers that your business is legitimate.

4. It’s Inexpensive…And Easy. You can set up a branded email address with minimal effort through a domain name provider or web hosting company for free or at a reasonably low cost. Or if you currently run Microsoft Office 365, you can easily set this up through the Office 365 admin center. Read more about how to do this in Three Ways to Set Up a Business Email Account. The great advantage of registering a domain name now is how it can grow with your business – use it for your branded email today and for your website in the future.

5. Promote Brand Awareness. The best benefit of using branded email is every time you send out an email, you’re promoting your business, not Gmail or Hotmail. It’s a valuable, cost-efficient way to market your company without having to spend a lot of money. So if you, like many other small businesses, think that branding was only meant for large enterprises with big advertising budgets, think again. You’re never too small to start building your brand, and you can get started today with branding your email.

If you think that an email is an email and there is no real difference. I have dealers tell me all the time that if they like the car and they like the salesperson, they will buy the car. This is completely untrue. A potential buyer will not purchase a vehicle 100% of the time just as long as they liked the car (or truck) and they liked the salesperson. What we are trying to figure out is how do you improve your closing ratio? And remember every little bit counts!

Even though there is information that really supports exactly what I'm saying about the need for a dealer-branded email, I bet there are still a few super stubborn and cheap used car dealers out there that are not convinced. Be glad you are reading this and send me a thank you in the Comments section below once you realize how right I am. To that end, here's what Business.com has to say about branded emails:

Having trouble connecting with new customers? It may surprise you to learn your personal email account is the culprit.

Congratulations, you've done it. You have achieved the American dream and started a business. Now it’s time to take the next step: hire staff, bring in customers, start advertising, or get a company website…  and the list goes on.

It’s not uncommon for many new entrepreneurs to forget about email communication when they’re starting out. Although social media is one of the most popular ways to communicate, email is still a necessity.

It can be tempting to use a free or personal email address in the beginning to save money, but is that a good decision? An email address using your company's name can make you seem more professional.

1. You Gain Instant Credibility With Customers

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you see a business with a free email account? Be honest. If you are like most people, you may think the business is not legitimate or trustworthy. You may wonder, how secure is their business if they’re not willing to pay a few bucks a month for a professional email account? Credibility is an important, invisible currency in the business world. If your business seems suspicious, customers will not buy your products and services online. You will also look like an amateur when you contact media companies and other businesses.  A professional email address with your domain name makes you look more credible.

2. You Save Time by Managing Your Website and Email Address in One Place

Every second counts when you are running a business. You probably have multiple accounts you have to log into every day for your business. By bundling your email with the purchase of your company's domain name, you can save time. This is because you can manage your email from the same control panel you use to manage your website. How convenient is that?

3. Your Brand Gets a Chance to Shine

When your email looks good, your business does too. Let's face it, a free email account devalues your brand. It is much harder to send out customized emails that reflect your brand using a free email address. Branding helps your email stand out. It also shows that you care about your company's image and how others view it. The more customers recognize your emails, the more they are familiar with the business. This familiarity can lead them to trust your brand and spend more money on your products over time. Related Article: The 7 Emails You Need to Be Sending Your Mailing List

4. Your Emails Are Less Likely to Go Into the Spam Folder

Did you know that some businesses block emails from free email accounts? So while you may save money with a free account, it could cost your business millions in lost sales. For example, let's say you are following up on a hot lead with a free email address. You've sent five emails and still haven't heard anything back from them. Little did you know, your emails were all flagged as spam and they never received them. By the time you call the person you find out that it's too late and they have decided to work with a competitor.

5. Your Staff Becomes Brand Ambassadors

Do you plan on hiring other people in the future? Or do you currently have employees in different departments? Free accounts are usually limited and you can't add more than one user to an email account. When you have your own website, you can create and manage unlimited email accounts with ease. This means you can create an email account using each employee's name or their role in the company. Extra perks include autoresponders, mail forwarding, email aliases, and mailing lists. With your own domain, you can unlock all the opportunities email marketing has to offer your business, as you’ll be able to customize a brand-friendly sender address.

6. You Can Enjoy Tech Support When You Need It

Another advantage of having your own email address is that you won't have to worry about tech support. Your web hosting provider will provide phone, chat, and email support if you have any issues. You can rest easy at night because your data is backed up on their secured servers. A community forum,  video tutorials, and articles can also help troubleshoot potential problems. You can also enjoy a 99.9 percent uptime guarantee.

7. Your Business Name May Not Be Available if You Use a Free Email Account

Email exploded on the scene in the 90s. As a result, billions of email addresses already exist. This means many email address names are already in use. Chances are your business name is not available if you try to use a free email account. Related Article:6 Email Marketing Challenges And How To Overcome Them This means you will have to create one that includes your business name with extra characters and numbers. What is the end result? An unprofessional email address that doesn't reflect your brand. If you invest in your own domain and email address, you will be able to use the name you really want.
